SAN ANTONIO – The St. Mary's Women's Basketball couldn't sustain its hot start on Thursday evening, dropping another close game, this time 60-55 to Oklahoma Christian.

The Rattlers (7-16, 3-14 Lone Star Conference) jumped out to a 24-7 lead after the first quarter, but the Eagles (5-17, 3-15 Lone Star) responded by outscoring the Gold & Blue 53-31 over the final three quarters.

St. Mary's shot a season-best 90.5 percent from the free throw line, making 19-of-21 attempts, narrowly missing out on a top-10 single game appearance, but for the second time this year against the Eagles, did not make a three-point attempt, going 0-for-12.

Gabby Elliott (San Antonio) was a perfect 10-for-10 at the charity stripe, leading the team with 18 points and she collected nine rebounds. Junior
Teanna Huggins (San Antonio) added 11 points and she added five steals and four rebounds – all offensive.Â

Senior
Natalia Ryng (Gdynia, Poland) tied her season-high with 10 rebounds as well as adding a season-best two blocks.

Brooklin Bain paced OC with 20 points, 14 rebounds and three steals. Daijah Torns added 16 points and JaQuia White came off the bench to add 10.

The Rattlers host UAFS on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Lions lost 74-71 at St. Edward's on Thursday evening.
