SAN ANTONIO – St. Mary's Director of Tennis Bill Macom is excited to announce the signing of Selina Wu to a National Letter of Intent.

"Selina is a quality player and I love the fact that not only did she play high school tennis, but she was so passionate about how her team was doing during her senior year," Macom said. "I think that she will be a great team player for St. Mary's and we are looking forward to her arrival in August."

Wu, a high school senior from San Marino High School in San Gabriel, Calif., will join the Rattlers in August, 2023. She was named MVP in her senior season after helping the team win back-to-back CIF Division One Championships. She has either won or finished second in the league doubles each of the last three seasons.

"Selina is a true team player in every sense of the word," said her High School Melwin Pereira. "She has been an anchor for our team for 4 years, but most especially these last two seasons where she played a pivotal role by winning key matches which earned us back 2 back CIF Division One/Open Championship. I am so proud of her."

Selina's private coach, Kyle Dandan stated: "Selina is the perfect combination of serious and fun. On the court, she is focused and determined. She always finds a way win. She is relentless. Off the court, Selina is fun to be with. She is very jolly and full of life. She is very encouraging and positive to the people around her. Selina, in my eyes, would be an excellent addition to any college tennis team."
