Opening Tip

•    St. Mary's heads south for a rematch against Texas A&M International and Texas A&M Kingsville. The Rattlers lost the first meetings by a combined 10 points.

•    Half of the team's games against conference foes have been decided by one possession, including the Jan. 1 game against the Dustdevils. Gabby Elliott scored 16, while Teanna Huggins had 13 points and seven rebounds and Reyelle Frazier collected four assists and four steals.

•    Gabby Elliott has scored at least 10 points in each of the last nine games, the longest double figure scoring streak on the team this season. Tonia Bilic hit at least 10 in seven straight earlier in the year. A season ago, Hannah Wilson scored in double figures in the first 14 contests.

•    Senior Briley Perkins is now tied with Jackie Woods (2011-14) for 10th in St. Mary's history with 122 three-pointers. Perkins is two shy of tying for ninth and three away from tying for eighth.

•    Ariah Powell been the spark off the bench for the Rattlers this season. She has scored in double figures six times, including 10 in the last game against UT Permian Basin and ranks fourth on the team with 6.9 points per game.

•    Jaedyn Dunn scored a career-best 14 points against Angelo State on Thursday, snapping a seven-game streak where Gabby Elliott had been the team's leading scorer. Dunn became the eighth Rattler to lead the team in the scoring column this season.

•    Against conference foes, freshman Gabby Elliott has been extremely efficient, making over half her shots from the field. She currently ranks fourth in the Lone Star statistics, shooting .504 from the floor. Against all opponents, Elliott is shooting .503, but doesn't meet the minimum requirements to appear in that category.
