SAN ANTONIO – The St. Mary's Volleyball Team dominated in its home opener, sweeping Cameron 25-17, 25-7, 25-12 on Friday night in front of a rowdy crowd.

The Rattlers (6-8, 2-1 Lone Star Conference) used a 23-2 run, with junior setter
Aislan Lennon (Houston) serving 16 straight. She stepped back to the line trailing 5-2 and the team was 18-6 when she finished. During the stretch, Lennon served four aces as the team totaled 10 on the night.

Alyssa Koehl (New Braunfels, Texas) had a match-high 14 digs and Withers chipped in 11.

The StMU defense held the Aggies (5-10, 0-3 Lone Star) to a .023 hitting percentage, the lowest opponent efficiency of the season. It is the third time this season the Rattlers have held an opponent under .100.

Cali Nims (Corpus Christi, Texas) had 14 assists to lead the team, while Lennon added 12.

The Rattlers continue the homestand, hosting #18 West Texas A&M on Saturday on 2 p.m. The Lady Buffs swept St. Edward's in Austin earlier Friday evening.

INDIVIDUAL PLAYER & TEAM NOTES
- Junior setter Aislan Lennon doubled her career-high in service aces with four against the Aggies. She previously had two six different times.
- Freshman libero Alyssa Koehl had her first career kill in the third set.
- It is the third time this season the Rattlers have totaled double figures in aces. They had 10 aces with only two errors and it is the ninth time the team has had either an even or positive assist-to-error ratio.
- The .280 hitting percentage is the highest this season for St. Mary's, while the .023 by the Aggies is the lowest by an opponent in 2022.
- The 16 straight points served by Aislan Lennon in the second set is the longest stretch this season by a Rattler.
- The 25-7 win in set two is tied for second-lowest opponent total in the 25-point scoring era. The Rattlers held Our Lady of the Lake to four points on Oct. 11, 2016.
