Sebastian Azcui clinched the victory with a thrilling tiebreak win in the second set for the 4-3 win.

The Rattlers (3-0) found themselves up an early 1-0 lead on the Roadrunners (2-1) after they won at No. 1 and 3 doubles. MSUD won at No. 2 and No. 3 singles to take the 2-1 advantage in the team score.Â

Alvaro Soler (Alicante, Spain) and junior
Jake Faryniarz (San Antonio) pulled off straight sets wins at #4 and #5, respectively and Azcui (La Paz, Bolivia) clinched the win for StMU with his 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) win at No. 6.

"Sebastian had a solid day and played a great tiebreaker to clinch it," said Director of Tennis
Bill Macom. "He had some excellent support from his teammates to help him pull through. This was definitely a team effort today."

The Rattlers went 3-0 at the Pueblo Duals, playing in their first fall duals since 2014. The team heads to Wichita Falls Sept. 29-Oct. 1 to take place in the ITA South Central Fall Regional.
