DALLAS, Texas – The St. Mary's Volleyball Team continued to show a lot of grit for the second afternoon in a row, despite not getting a W on the scoreboard, falling in four sets to UAFS at DBU on Saturday afternoon, 25-20, 25-20, 17-25, 25-18.

The Rattlers wrapped up the non-conference season with a 4-7 record and turn their attention to Lone Star Conference play beginning on Friday at Texas Woman's at 6 p.m.

Against the Lions (6-5), the Rattlers posted season- and career-highs all over the place as well as senior
Sadie Hough (Cleburne, Texas) tying the school record for hitting percentage (10-14 attacks) with her .900 (9-0-10) day. Hough knots Nicole Williams, who had nine kills on 10 swings against Tarleton State on Nov. 2, 2001.

Freshman
Landri Withers (Stephenville, Texas) once again led the team in kills, posting a career-high 16 to lead all players. She also moved into the serving rotation for the first time all year and responded with three aces in 13 attempts. Fellow freshman
Laurene Robinson (Bedford, Texas) also tied her career-high with nine kills, hitting .348 (9-1-23).

Cali Nims (Corpus Christi, Texas) and freshman
Abbey Stiffler (York, Pa.) posted season-highs with 20 assists each and freshman libero
Alyssa Koehl (New Braunfels, Texas) led the match with 14 digs.

StMU and UAFS both had good days at the serving line as the Rattlers had six aces with only two errors and the Lions tallied 11 aces with only three miscues.

INDIVIDUAL PLAYER & TEAM NOTES
- For the eighth time in 11 matches, the Rattlers outblocked the opposition, posting a 6-3 advantage. In a ninth match, the teams were tied in blocks.
- The .209 hitting percentage for StMU is the third-highest percentage of the season and the highest in a loss during 2022.
- Senior Sadie Hough tied the school record for hitting percentage (10-14 attacks) in a match, hitting .900 (9-0-10) against the Lions.
- The Rattlers have recorded multiple service aces in all 11 matches this season and have had five or more eight times.
