•   2022 marks the sixth time the St. Mary's Women's Tennis Team has made it to the NCAA Championship and the second-straight year the Rattlers have advanced.
•   The Rattlers are a combined 13-19 against the other 15 teams in the tournament field, including 2-2 this year (1-1 vs Cameron; 1-0 vs Indiana (Pa.) and 0-1 vs Nova Southeastern). It will be the first-ever meeting between StMU and Flagler.
•   This will be the second trip to Florida this season for St. Mary's as they spent March 15-19 playing four matches in the Sunshine State.
•   St. Mary's is now 9-2 this season against nationally-ranked teams after the 4-1 win against #25 Midwestern State.
•   St. Mary's has won seven-straight matches against nationally-ranked Division II opponents and nine consecutive matches in a row to move to 21-3 on the season.
•   Senior Ashley Penshorn broke the St. Mary's single-season record for wins in a season (fall and spring combined) with her 25th win at UTT and she now has 27. Penshorn broke the mark of Mariana Rong who had 24 victories in 2014-15.
•   The Rattlers won their first-ever Lone Star Conference Tournament with wins over #72 DBU, #56 UT Tyler and #9 Cameron. Junior Angela Vargas was named MVP of the championship after pulling off a comeback win over Cameron in the finals. She dropped the first set 6-1 and bounced back to only lose three games the rest of the way, winning 6-2, 6-1. Gabi Ioannou, Ashley Penshorn and Alice Thane were also named to the All-Tournament Team.
•   A total of seven Rattlers earned spots on Lone Star All-Conference teams. Ashley Penshorn was named to the Sportsmanship team, All-Academic team and First-Team in singles. Angela Vargas was named the league's Newcomer of the Year, Second-Team in singles and honorable mention in doubles with partner Bailey Godwin. Maria Garcia and Marina Vigil were both All-Academic selections, while Vigil also earned honorable mention in doubles with partner Gabi Ioannou. Ioannou also was a singles honorable mention selection.
