NET POINTS
•   St. Mary's clinched a share of the Lone Star Conference regular season title with a win at UT Tyler on Saturday. It is just the second conference title in any sport (Men's Soccer, 2019) since the Rattlers joined the league in 2019.
•   Though in their third season in the Lone Star Conference, this will be the first-ever Lone Star Tournament as the 2020 edition was canceled due to the pandemic and last season was canceled due to inclement weather.
•   Senior Ashley Penshorn broke the St. Mary's single-season record for wins in a season (fall and spring combined) with her 25th win at UTT. Penshorn broke the mark of Mariana Rong who had 24 victories in 2014-15.
•   The Rattler jumped 23 spots in the ITA Rankings this week to #23. Senior Ashley Penshorn is ranked 29th and senior Maria Garcia is 41st.
•   With the 6-1 win earlier this season over DBU, the Rattlers are now 16-5 all-time against the Patriots, and will face them in the quarterfinals.
•   A total of seven Rattlers earned spots on Lone Star All-Conference teams. Ashley Penshorn was named to the Sportsmanship team, All-Academic team and First-Team in singles. Angela Vargas was named the league's Newcomer of the Year, Second-Team in singles and honorable mention in doubles with partner Bailey Godwin. Maria Garcia and Marina Vigil were both All-Academic selections, while Vigil also earned honorable mention in doubles with partner Gabi Ioannou. Ioannou also was a singles honorable mention selection.
•   St. Mary's is now 5-2 this season against nationally-ranked teams after defeating both #28 Midwestern State and #69 DBU by identical scores of 6-1.
•   The Rattlers moved to 16-3 all-time in Lone Star Conference play with the win at UT Tyler on Saturday.
•   Senior Ashley Penshorn was named the Lone Star Conference Player of the Week twice during the season, while freshman Callah Preti won in the opening week.
