NET POINTS

•    St. Mary's continues its home stretch with UAFS and #5 Cameron. The Rattlers host the Lions on Thursday at 12:30 and will face the Aggies at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels at 9 a.m. on Friday.

•    The Rattlers are 11-1 all-time against UAFS, including a 7-0 sweep in 2021 and are 9-7 against Cameron and won 6-1 in the last meeting. StMU has won 11 straight over UAFS and after dropping the first seven meetings against the Aggies, has won nine in a row.

•    St. Mary's is now 2-1 this season against nationally-ranked teams after opening Lone Star Conference play with a 4-3 win over No. 29 Angelo State.

•    The Rattlers improved to 10-2 all-time in Lone Star Conference play with the wins over Angelo State and Texas A&M Kingsville last week.

•    Senior Ashley Penshorn was named the Lone Star Conference Player of the Week after she lost only two points in the two singles matches over Angelo State and Texas A&M Kingsville. It is the first weekly award for the senior and the second for the Rattlers this season as freshman Callah Preti won in the opening week.

•    In the latest national rankings (March 24), the Rattlers have three ranked amongst the top 50 in #13 Maria Garcia, #18 Ashley Penshorn and #65 Marina Vigil.

•    Senior Ashley Penshorn currently ranks sixth in the career singles dual wins list with 58. Next on Penshorn's target list is Ally Maciel (2015-19), who won 60 and ranks fifth.

•    The St. Mary's team is looking to advance to its ninth-straight NCAA Regional appearance this season. The team has made the post-season every year since 2012-13, except for 2019-20 where the season was cut short.
