• The St. Mary's Women's Tennis team dropped only 15 games through 18 matches in winning its first two matches 7-0 against Tabor and Schreiner.
• StMU is 1-0 against Texas Lutheran all-time with the lone meeting coming in 2018, a 9-0 win for the Rattlers. The team is 8-3 against Trinity and has won the last eight meetings, including a close 5-4 win a season ago. This will also be the second meeting against St. Thomas, with the Rattlers winning 7-0 in 2021.
• Freshman Callah Preti was named the Lone Star Player of the Week after going 2-0 at No. 6 singles and 1-0 in doubles.
• The Rattlers have three ranked among the top 50 in the nation in the first spring ITA rankings as Maria Garcia is 7th, Ashley Penshorn, 32nd and Marina Vigil, 40th.
• In the regional ITA rankings, Garcia is 1st, Penshorn 5th and Vigil 6th, while Penshorn and Vigil are ranked 5th for doubles, and Garcia and Angela Vargas are ranked 8th.
• Senior Ashley Penshorn became just the seventh player in school history to record 50 dual wins, as she now has 51.
• With the two dual wins to begin the spring, Director of Tennis Bill Macom is now second on the all-time wins list for the women with a record of 22-6. He moves past Ian Ward, who coached from 2008-11.
• The St. Mary's team is looking to advance to its ninth-straight NCAA Regional appearance this season. The team has made the post-season every year since 2012-13, except for 2019-20 where the season was cut short due to Covid-19.
• The Rattlers have earned 10 consecutive ITA All-Academic Team awards, dating back to the 2011-12 squad.
