WBB Falls To UTPB

SAN ANTONIO – Despite a balanced scoring attack, the St. Mary's Women's Basketball couldn't get past the visiting UT Permian Basin Falcons in a rescheduled game.
 
Junior Sydney Hardeman (Allen, Texas) led the team with nine points, while sophomore Bella Hughes (Argyle, Texas) added eight. Senior forward Hannah Wilson (Fredericksburg, Texas) led the team with seven rebounds.
 
The Rattlers (2-19, 2-9 Lone Star Conference) led 15-12 after the first quarter, but struggled offensively the remainder of the game, scoring 10, nine and nine each of the next three stanzas. 
 
One of the highlights for the Gold & Blue was the performance at the free throw line as they were 13-for-16 at the stripe for an 81.3 percent.
 
The Rattlers have the next three games at home, hosting Oklahoma Christian on Thursday at 5:30 p.m., UAFS on Saturday at 2 and Angelo State on Monday at 3:30 p.m.
