Opening Tip
•   Instead of the normal Thursday, Saturday schedule, the Rattlers will play Saturday, Monday due to final examinations at the majority of Lone Star Conference schools. StMU faces Cameron and Midwestern State which are both in search of the first LSC wins of the year.
•   Both freshman Gabby Elliott and junior transfer Ariah Powell posted 20 points in a game last week, giving them both career-highs. The Rattlers now have four active players who have scored 20 or more points in a game during their career, as Bella Hughes has twice with a career-high 23 against Texas A&M Kingsville on Jan. 18, 2020 and Briley Perkins has done so three times with a career-high 27 points against St. Edward's on Feb. 29, 2020.
•   St. Mary's took over the top spot in the Lone Star Conference statistics in three-point field goal percentage, shooting .368 for the season. In the two games last week, the Rattlers shot .433 (13-for-30) from beyond the arc.
•   For the first time in the Division II era, the Rattlers pulled down 50 or more rebounds in three-straight games with 56 against Dallas Christian (Nov. 19), 50 against North American (Nov. 22) and 51 over Western New Mexico (Dec. 1).
•   Senior Briley Perkins added four three-pointers to her career total over the weekend and now has 111, needing 11 more to appear on the St. Mary's career charts. Jackie Woods (2011-14) currently sits in 10th with 122 makes.
•   Sophomore Faith Phillips is six rebounds shy of 200 for her career, while senior Natalia Ryng needs 21 for the same milestone.Â
•   The game on December 30 against Texas A&M Kingsville has been changed to a 3 p.m. opening tip.
•   The Rattlers have used a balanced attack this season as eight players are averaging between 4.9-11.9 points per game, while six are averaging between 3.5-6.1 rebounds an outing.
