Box Score LAWTON, Okla. – Trailing by 10 points with less than a minute remaining, the St. Mary's Women's Basketball team had a chance to tie the score twice in the final 10 seconds, but both attempts barely missed as the Cameron Aggies held on for the 62-60 win on Saturday afternoon.

Twice the Rattlers (5-3, 1-2 Lone Star Conference) looked out of the game after the Aggies (3-5, 1-2 LSC) used big scoring runs in the second half, but the Gold & Blue as they've shown all season, dug deep and didn't quit. Cameron scored 15 straight in the middle of the third quarter for a nine-point lead, 43-34, but the Rattlers continued to chip away, cutting the lead to five early in the fourth, 49-44. The Aggies pushed the lead back to 10, 62-52 with just over a minute left on the clock, but the Rattler defense went to work, forcing turnovers and converting them to points.Â

Briley Perkins (Houston) hit the second of two free throw attempts, junior
Teanna Huggins (San Antonio) was fouled on a driving layup and made the free throw and senior
Tonia Bilic (Zagreb, Croatia) scooped in a layup to cut the score to 62-58. Huggins stole the inbounds pass and freshman
Gabby Elliott (San Antonio) scored an easy layup off a fantastic pass from Bilic to make the score 62-60.Â

Bilic narrowly missed her career-high in scoring, leading the Rattlers with 17 points - one off her high of 18 from earlier this season against Regis. Huggins chipped in 11 and a game-high four steals, whileÂ
Reyelle Frazier (Tacoma, Wash.) led the team with eight rebounds.Â

The Rattlers continue the road trip at Midwestern State on Monday evening at 5 p.m. The Mustangs host St. Edward's at 6 p.m. on Saturday before welcoming the Rattlers to town.
