SAN ANTONIO – It came down to free throws for the St. Mary's Men's Basketball game in an exhibition game across town at UTSA on Monday evening. The Rattlers missed 11 (13-of-24) on the night, while the Roadrunners were 8-for-12 and StMU fell 66-59.

Emmanuel Ewuzie (San Antonio) tied for game-high honors with 14 points and tied his career-high with four blocked shots, while senior
Ryan Leonard (Kerry, Ireland) tied for the lead in rebounds with seven and swiped three steals.

The Rattlers (0-2) led throughout much of the first half, jumping out to an eight-point advantage on a pair of free throws by
Edward Manuel (Lake Charles, La.) at the 2:47 mark. UTSA took its first lead with the first basket of the second half and built a 13-point lead at the first media break. StMU cut the deficit to two on two occasions but were unable to regain the advantage.

All 10 players brought down at least one rebound on the evening as the Rattlers out-rebounded the Runners 38-to-36.Â
