Opening Tip
•   The Valerie Huizar era officially begins on Friday as the Rattlers host the South Central Regional Crossover. StMU faces Regis on Friday and Colorado School of Mines on Saturday.
•   St. Mary's returns seven letterwinners and two starters from last season's team and welcomes six newcomers to the fold. Senior Briley Perkins started in 19 of the 28 games, while sophomore Faith Phillips started in 23 as a true freshman. Four other returners had at least two starts in 2021-22.
•   This is the second-straight season the Rattlers have opened play against Regis and Colorado School of Mines as a year ago they played at Regis against both teams in the South Central Regional Crossover.
•   Senior Briley Phillips begins the season with 104 made three-pointers in her career, needing 18 more to appear on the St. Mary's career charts. Jackie Woods (2011-14) currently sits in 10th with 122 makes.
•   Both junior Bella Hughes and senior Briley Perkins are tied as school record holders for triples in a game with 6. The feat has been accomplished 10 times in St. Mary's history.
•   As a freshman, Faith Phillips recorded multiple rebounds in all 28 games, including six games of 10 or more. Junior Bella Hughes joined her with multiple boards in the last dozen games, while junior Michaela Kucera had more than one in each of the last eight contests.
