SAN ANTONIO – In a rivalry game, the records don't matter coming in it's just the end result people care about and on Wednesday evening the final result went to the St. Mary's Volleyball team, beating St. Edward's in five sets 25-20, 14-25, 22-25, 25-20, 15-11.

Each team hit .149 for the match, but the Rattlers (9-9, 5-2 Lone Star Conference) posted 10 more kills and notched a season-high 103 digs to win their third consecutive match.

Freshman outside hitter
Landri Withers (Stephenville, Texas) led the match with 18 kills – one shy of her career-high – and she took the majority of serves with 35 receptions. She also had her fourth double-double of the year with 10 digs.

Both setters
Cali Nims (Corpus Christi, Texas) and
Aislan Lennon (Houston) posted double-doubles as Nims tied her career-high for digs with 22 for the second time in three matches and led the team with 23 assists. Lennon collected 13 assists and 10 digs in three sets. Lennon led the team with three aces, as the team posted nine aces with six errors.

Senior
Sadie Hough (Cleburne, Texas) led the match with six blocks and was second with nine kills.

The two teams will be featured in the NCAA: The Rivalries, a new docu-series highlighting smaller college rivalries and the match couldn't have been any closer for the crew that was here.Â

The Rattlers have now won five of their last six matches, including three straight, and host Western New Mexico on Friday. The Mustangs are 2-18 on the season and 0-8 in league play.
