SAN ANTONIO – The St. Mary's Volleyball team won its sixth-straight match with a 25-17, 25-18, 25-21 sweep over Angelo State on Saturday afternoon.

The Rattlers (12-9, 8-2 Lone Star Conference) showed poise throughout the match as they trailed in each set, but were able to combat the 16 ties and five lead changes throughout to win in straight sets.

Landri Withers (Stephenville, Texas) posted her fifth double-double of the season, leading the team in both kills (10) and digs (11). Both junior outside hitter
Lindsey Ogle (Houston) and freshman middle blocker
Dallasstar Johnson (San Antonio) had big days with eight kills each. Ogle recorded hers on 16 swings with no errors for a .500 hitting percentage, while Johnson hit .538 (8-1-13). She also added a career-high five aces, more than doubling her previous career-high of two.

Sadie Hough (Cleburne, Texas) each had three blocks to lead the Rattlers and sophomore setter
Cali Nims (Corpus Christi, Texas) led the match with 20 assists.

The six-match winning streak is the longest of the year and matches the longest in Head Coach
Laura Ulrich's career from the first six of the 2021 season. The win over the Rambelles (11-11, 7-3 LSC) also gives the Rattlers sole possession of fourth place in the conference standings.

The Rattlers take their streak on the road playing at Texas A&M International on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Dust Devils are one spot ahead of StMU in the standings with a 7-1 league record.
