SAN ANTONIO – St. Mary's University Director of Tennis
Bill Macom earned his 500th career victory on Saturday as the St. Mary's Men's Tennis squad cruised past Our Lady of the Lake University at Rohrbach Tennis Stadium. The Rattlers swept the Saints, winning 7-0.
Macom is in his 23rd season as a head coach and came to St. Mary's with 483 victories. With last season being cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Macom entered the 2021 season just 11 victories shy of the milestone. Macom's women's squad has posted a 5-1 record thus far and today's win moved the men to 6-0 on the year.
The Rattlers lost just two sets in doubles action.

Sebastian Azcui picked up their first doubles victory of the year at the No. 2 line, winning 6-0.
Leon Hein earned the first singles victory for the Rattlers as he won 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 6 line.
James Finnigan took care of his opponent, 6-1, 6-0.
Ryan Koth put the Rattlers up 3-0 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles. Playing at No. 2 singles,
Brendan Brown clinched the match for St. Mary's, defeating his opponent, 6-1, 6-1.
Jeremiah Sanchez kept his unbeaten streak alive at No. 1 singles, winning 6-4, 6-2.
Nicolas Llosa earned the final point of the match for the Rattlers at No. 3 singles, winning 6-2, 7-5.
The Rattlers will have a six-day layoff before their next match. St. Mary's will host Nicholls State University on Friday, March 12 at 2 p.m.
