Women's Soccer Earns Five Seed at LSC Tournament

RICHARDSON, Texas – The St. Mary's Women's Soccer team earned the five-seed at the Lone Star Conference Tournament, the league office announced on Saturday evening.
 
The Rattlers finished the regular season with a 9-6-2 record and 23 conference points. They ended in a tie for fifth place with Angelo State, but hold the tiebreaker over the Rambelles. StMU will travel to fourth-seeded West Texas A&M (13-5, 27 points) for one of the three quarterfinal contests. The game time for Tuesday, Nov. 9 is 7 p.m. in Canyon,
 
This is the second-straight season the Rattlers have advanced to the postseason conference tournament, securing the seed with the 1-0 victory at Lubbock Christian in the final game of the regular season.
 
All six women's soccer championship games will be broadcast exclusively on the LSC Digital Network at www.lonestarconferencenetwork.com or the LSC Digital Network OTT app. Fans will be able to purchase an LSC Women's Soccer Championship Day Pass for $10 that provides access to all women's soccer tournament games for 24 hours from the time of purchase. Passes will be available for purchase on each game day.
 
DBU won the regular season title for the third-straight year and received the bye to the semifinals. Midwestern State and Texas Woman's are the #2 and #3 seeds, respectively, while Angelo State and Texas A&M Commerce round out the field.
 
The winners of the first round contests will advance to the semifinals in Dallas on Fri., Nov. 12. Should the Rattlers win, they will take on host DBU at 5 p.m.
