THE RECAPĀ
St. Mary's kept the good times rolling on the pitch with a 2-0 shutout win over UT-Permian Basin. The Rattlers outshot the Falcons 23-7 to earn the victory in their final nonconference game of the season.
Andrick Ferrer kept his hot offensive play rolling by scoring in the 16th minute to give the Rattlers a 1-0 lead. Ferrer was assisted by Edu Bonatto and Tony Andoyan. Speaking of Andoyan, he would add his third goal of the season in the second half, dribbling in close and beating the keeper to the left side.
St. Mary's improve to 7-3 on the year and increases their winning streak to three games.
THREE THINGS TO KNOWĀ
- The Rattlers unleashed a barrage on the net, putting 13 shots on frame. UTPB had to make 11 saves just to keep the game from getting out of hand.
- St. Mary's continues to improve their efficiency on both ends of the pitch. Tonight, that meant limiting their foul total to just six.
- St. Mary's has now doubled up UTPB in the series, leading 20-10.
