SAN ANTONIO — St. Mary's Women's Soccer fell 4-0 to Texas A&M-Commerce on the road on Friday to fall to 3-6 in Lone Star Conference play.
Gabby Olsen had the first shot of the match less than two minutes in, but it was saved by the Lions' goalkeeper. The next shot for St. Mary's didn't come until the 37th minute, when
Lauren Mlouhi sent one wide of the goal. The Rattlers held the Lions scoreless for most of the first half with nine saves, before Commerce broke the stalemate in the 43rd minute just before the break.
Tori Permillion had a shot on goal saved early in the second half, but it was the Lions who once again capitalized with two goals in 54 seconds in the 63rd minute. Commerce scored once again in the 71st minute to set the final score. The Rattlers had one last shot on goal from
Avery Looney in the 90th minute, but the late effort was once again saved by the keeper. The Rattler goalkeeper,
Cameron Koerner, had three more saves of her own in the second half.
