Offensive struggles doom Rattlers against Jets

SAN ANTONIO — St. Mary's Women's Soccer fell 4-0 against Newman on Saturday at Sigma Beta Chi Field.
 
The Rattlers (1-3-2, 0-3-1) failed to find a goal for the fourth-straight match. Outshot 17-11, the Rattlers managed to place three shots on goal, contrast to the 10 produced by the Jets.
 
Alexia Maldonado placed two of her three shots on frame as Paige Meyer tallied the other shot on goal.
 
Despite the loss, freshman keeper Cameron Koerner logged a match-high five saves in the first half.
 
On Tuesday, the Rattlers will host Our Lady of the Lake in the annual Halo Classic at 4 p.m.
