@StMUsoftball bounces back against Eagles

SAN ANTONIO — Rattler Softball defeated Oklahoma Christian 2-1 on Monday, taking the finale of a three-game series.
 
St. Mary's scored the game's first run when Raynelle Nash recorded a sacrifice fly in the first inning.
 
An error in the fifth gave the Rattlers a 2-0 lead before OC came within a run off a home run in the sixth inning.
 
Alessandra Ortiz posted a 2-for-2 day at the plate with a run scored as fellow senior Hannah Michel would finish the game with a double and a run scored.
 
Hope Russell picked up the victory in her final regular-season appearance at home, allowing one run on a hit in four innings pitched.
 
The Rattlers will head north to face St. Edward's in the final series of the season beginning on Friday at 3 p.m.
