Women's Tennis wins 6th straight Heartland Tournament title

FORT WORTH, Texas — St. Mary's Women's Tennis won its sixth consecutive Heartland Conference Tournament championship, downing St. Edward's 5-0 in the championship final Saturday.
 
The Rattlers rallied early to earn a doubles sweep, led by Kaylin Kruseman and Tyra Timm's hard-fought 8-6 victory over the Hilltoppers' 15-ranked duo of Beth Hayward and Valentina Martinez. Paulina Torres and Rani Goodland also rallied, winning 9-8 (7-5) at line two.
 
The Rattlers clinched a berth in the NCAA regional, and will now await word from the NCAA selection committee as to their seeding and opponent.
