St. Edward's tops Rattlers for Heartland Men's Tennis crown

FORT WORTH, Texas — St. Edward's outlasted St. Mary's Men's Tennis 5-2 in Saturday's Heartland Conference Championship, ending the Rattlers' bid to repeat as conference champions.
 
The Rattlers forced a marathon match despite getting swept 3-0 in doubles, as the Jeremiah Gonzalez and Bojan Popovic won their singles matches at lines one and two, respectively. Jose Antelo was leading at No. 3, 6-1, 2-6, 4-1, when the Hilltoppers clinched the match.
