Women's Tennis gets past Newman, eyes Heartland tournament crown

ARLINGTON, Texas — St. Mary's Women's Tennis defeated No. 4-seeded Newman 5-0 in Friday's semifinals of the Heartland Conference Women's Tennis Championship.
 
The victory sets up the Rattlers to square off against No. 2 seed St. Edward's in Saturday's championship match. Due to weather in Arlington, the match has been pushed back to 5 p.m. and moved to the TCU campus.

In singles:
1. Kaylin Kruseman (STMU) vs. Liza Gerasimova (NU) 6-1, 1-1, unfinished
