Women's Tennis tops St. Edward's for 6th straight Heartland crown

AUSTIN, Texas — St. Mary's Women's Tennis outlasted St. Edward's 6-3 on Saturday to win its sixth straight Heartland Conference championship.

In doubles, No. 3 Ally Maciel and Alex Corder played a strenuous match, playing point for point against the Toppers. The duo were able to gain control and steal the match, which gave the Rattlers a great advantage going into singles with a 2-1 lead.

In singles, the Rattlers rallied together with No. 4 Paulina Torres leading the way in singles for the Rattlers, followed shortly by No. 3 Maciel and No. 1 Kaylin Kruseman clinching the match.
