Porter, Banks spearhead Rattler comeback over Eagles

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma — Having trailed for most of the ball game, the St. Mary's Rattlers battled to a 59-55 victory over Oklahoma Christian on Saturday.
 
An offensive outburst from Arysia Porter set the tone for the Rattlers while Kealani Marquez provide a pair of key baskets late in the fourth quarter to seal a Rattler victory.
 
Porter notched a season-high 28 points on 11-of-18 shooting from the field while adding eight rebounds, two steals and two blocks – one of which denied the Eagles a chance at a game-tying three.
 
Freshman Soteria Banks provided a lift with 17 points and four rebounds in 40 minutes of playing time.
 
The Rattlers improve to 11-12 overall and 5-5 in conference play as they set their sights on the final homestand of the season, beginning with a Feb. 15 contest against Rogers State at 5:30 p.m. inside Bill Greehey Arena.
