Men’s Soccer tie Hillcats in Claremore

CLAREMORE, Oklahoma — Weather postponed the start of Men's Soccer's meeting with Rogers State on Saturday. Once the match finished, the Rattlers and Hillcats tied 1-1.
 
Just over two minutes into the match, the Rattlers conceded a goal when Chris Sowder deposited his fifth goal of the season.
 
The Rattlers spent most of the match seeking an equalizing goal, outshooting the Hillcats 19-12 in the match.  Then, in the 82nd minute, the Rattlers were gifted the game-tying goal when the Hillcats netted an own goal.
 
Carlos Blasco led the Rattlers with four shots as Pato Botello Faz recorded three shots and Nenad Markovic placed two of his three shots on goal. 
 
Overtime would only last just past the halfway point of the first period after weather forced the suspension of play.
 
St. Mary's will head to Dallas on Thursday night to face the DBU at 7:30 p.m.
