@StMUvolleyball completes season sweep of Lions

SAN ANTONIO — Rattler Volleyball defeated the defending Heartland Conference regular season champions, UAFS, on Thursday night in straight sets, completing the season sweep.
 
The Rattlers jumped out to a 25-19 victory in the opening set which was highlighted by an 8-0 run on Haley Bradfute's serve.
 
Bradfute led the Rattlers with a match-high 20 assists and two service aces. Mackenzie Harless and Jaycie Pluenneke dominated at the net, each recording three blocks apiece. Harless would also log a match-high 12 kills with KK Payne and Channing Hankins each adding nine of their own.
 
Monica Ramon posted 15 digs in the victory that propels the Rattlers in sole possession of second in the conference standings and one game out of first behind Lubbock Christian.
 
St. Mary's will play its final home match of the season on Saturday against Newman at 12 p.m.
