Volleyball drops showdown to Patriots

SAN ANTONIO — Hosting DBU on Saturday, St. Mary's couldn't overcome the Patriots, falling 3-0 inside Bill Greehey Arena.
 
The Rattlers were led by Channing Hankins who posted 10 kills and three blocks as Alissa Tolbert logged nine kills, two blocks and 13 digs.
 
Rachel McDonald was a force at the net for the Rattlers, logging a team-high seven blocks. Haley Bradfute led the Rattlers with 19 assists while fellow setter Bree Perry added 13 digs to her 18 assists.
 
Thursday, the Rattlers will host UAFS in a key midseason matchup at 7 p.m.
