Rattlers fall to Hilltoppers in Battle of the Saints rematch

AUSTIN — Men's Soccer ended its four-match road trip on Saturday with a visit to St. Edward's with the Rattlers falling to their rivals 5-1 at Lewis-Chen Family Field.
 
The Rattlers were ambushed with an early goal from Dylan Armstrong in the sixth minute of the match. A pair of Hilltopper goals to start the second half put the Rattlers in a deeper hole.
 
Alain Peralt would then put the Rattlers on the board with his first goal of the season in the 54th minute off an assist from Nenad Markovic. The dime was Markovic's third in two matches.
 
Less than 15 minutes later the Hilltoppers would ice the game with another goal before Armstrong would bookend the match with a goal in the 85th minute.
 
St. Mary's will look to bounce back when they return home on Thursday to face Texas-Permian Basin at 7 p.m.
