Snakes top Patriots in conference opener

DALLAS — The goals came early on Thursday night as the St. Mary's Rattlers defeated DBU 3-1 in the first conference match of the season for the Rattlers.
 
A goal by Nenad Markovic in the fourth minute was responded to with a DBU goal in the ninth minute.
 
In the 26th minute, Tommy Fogarty Cameron delivered yet another clutch goal that would ultimately prove to be the game winner.
 
Late in the match, Markovic would provide the finishing touches with his second goal of the match as the Rattlers improve to 3-1-1 on the year.
 
Dominating the match offensively, the Rattlers posted 18 shots while holding the Patriots to only eight.
 
Next for the Rattlers will be a Battle of the Saints matchup in Austin against St. Edward's on Saturday afternoon.
