Late surge too much for Rattlers against Chaps

LUBBOCK, Texas — In the final game of a four-game roadtrip, the St. Mary's Rattlers fell to Lubbock Christian 75-68 despite a strong scoring performance from Will Ferguson.
 
The junior posted 21 points and four assists in a losing effort as the Rattlers drop their fourth game in a row.
 
St. Mary's (8-15, 5-8) could not hang on to its six point first half lead as Lubbock Christian managed to shoot an impressive 69 percent from the field while holding the Rattlers 47 percent shooting for the entire game.
 
Skyler Brooks added 13 points and four rebounds while Yanni Wetzell added 11 points and three rebounds.
 
The Rattlers will now return home for the final homestand of the season beginning on Thursday when they host Oklahoma Christian at Bill Greehey Arena.
