#10 Women's Tennis guts out win over Northeastern State

SAN ANTONIO — No. 10 St. Mary's Women's Tennis overcame injuries and a valiant Northeastern State squad to earn a 6-3 victory over the RiverHawks on Thursday. 

Injuries caused last-minute changes to the Rattlers' lineup, but they survived to earn a 2-1 victory in doubles following triumphs by No. 1 tandem Kaylin Kruseman and Tyra Timm, and No. 3 tandem Camille Clausse-Pujo and Mariela Sarinana. 

The reshuffled lineup then headed to singles and reeled off four victories for the win, as Kruseman prevailed again at No. 2 (6-1, 6-2), Ally Maciel at No. 3 (6-3, 7-6 (7-5)), Timm at No. 4 (6-2, 6-1) and Sarinana at No. 5 (6-2, 6-0). 

The Rattlers improved to 3-0 on the season with the victory. They'll travel to take on Texas A&M-Kingsville at 2 p.m. next Thursday in Kingsville, Texas.
