Rattlers bounce back with overtime win

SAN ANTONIO — Despite trailing by as many as 15 in the first quarter, the St. Mary's Rattlers defeated the Texas A&M-Commerce 59-57.
 
St. Mary's fought back after a dismal first quarter, outscoring the Lions 31-19 over the next two periods.
 
Soteria Banks led the Rattlers with a game-high 21 points while fellow freshman Hannah Wilson posted a double double with 13 points and 13 rebounds, to go along with four blocks.
 
Arysia Porter was a factor on both ends of the floor, collecting 12 points and six steals as senior Kealani Marquez added 10 points and seven boards.
 
The victory pushes the Rattlers one game over .500 for the month of December as they now set their sights on a road meeting with Cameron on Dec. 30 at 1 p.m.
