LAREDO, Texas — The 2017 regular season came to a close for the St. Mary's Rattlers with a 3-1 victory over Texas A&M International on Thursday night.

Leading the way were the usual catalysts for the Rattlers as Bree Perry collected a match-high 36 assists while Monica Ramon tallied 27 digs and four aces.

A solid outing from Channing Hankins saw the junior post a dozen kills and three blocks while Mandee Eberle added 14 kills with Tarine Grace collecting 12 of her own.

St. Mary's (17-11, HC 9-3) ended the season second in the Heartland Conference, earning the program's first postseason berth in three years. The 17 victories this season also marks the first time since 2012 that a Rattler Volleyball team has accumulated that many wins.

Next Friday in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the Rattlers will begin their quest for a Heartland Conference title when they face No. 3 seed Lubbock Christian in the opening round of the tournament.
