Rattlers sweep past Jets in home finale

SAN ANTONIO — St. Mary's bounced back in a big way on Saturday as it defeated Newman in straight sets to improve to 16-11 overall and 8-3 in conference play.
 
The Rattlers were led by senior Tarine Grace who posted a .348 hitting percentage with nine kills.
 
Adding nine kills of her own was Channing Hankins as Mandee Eberle posted a match-high 14.
 
Monica Ramon was impressive as the libero notched a match-high 29 digs to go along with three aces.
 
Once again a force at the net, Jaycie Pluenneke tallied four blocks as Bree Perry added 18 assists with Lindsey Kaufman adding 15 assists of her own.
 
Next Thursday, the Rattlers will close out the regular season with a trip to Laredo to face Texas A&M International.
