Rattlers take No. 17 Falcons to limit

SAN ANTONIO — Men's Hoops returned to Bill Greehey Arena on Monday night as it hosted No. 17 ranked Texas-Permian Basin with the Rattlers ultimately falling to the Falcons 74-65.
 
A late push by the Rattlers at the end of the first half, courtesy of timely three-point shooting from Robbie Benavides, had the home team ahead 32-29. In addition to the outside shooting, the Rattler defense held the Falcons to their lowest first half point total of the season.
 
The Rattlers would run out of steam in the second half as the Falcons would outscore them 40-20 in the paint.
 
DeMarco Enoch led the Rattlers in scoring, coming off the bench with 14 points and six boards on 5-of-9 shooting from the field.
 
Petar Radojicic posted 13 points, three rebounds and two assists while Will Ferguson poured in 12 points, three boards and two assists.
 
St. Mary's will now head to Laredo for the Texas A&M International Classic, beginning on Thursday against Arlington Baptist at 3 p.m.
