LAREDO, Texas — St. Mary's Basketball got back in the win column Thursday afternoon, thumping Arlington Baptist 106-56 to open up the TAMIU Classic.

Freddie Williams was one of five Rattlers to score in double figures, leading the way with 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting. DeMarco Enoch added 12 points and Nikau McCullough 11, while Skyler Brooks and Will Ferguson chipped in 10 apiece.

Twelve Rattlers logged at least 10 minutes in the balanced showing, in which the squad shot a blistering 66.7 percent (42 of 63) from the floor, including nearly 70 percent — 11 of 16 — from 3-point range.

In addition to their fine shooting touch, the Rattlers outmuscled their opponent down low, outrebounding Arlington Baptist 36-20.

The Rattlers nearly scored more points in the paint than Arlington Baptist scored all game, registering 50 points in the paint, including 36 off turnovers. Williams had a team-high four steals in the game.

St. Mary's, which led by as much as 15 points late in the game, scored 71 points off the bench.

The Rattlers will round out tournament play with Friday's 3 p.m. game against Paul Quinn.
