Volleyball drops match to Heartland-leading Lions

SAN ANTONIO — Thursday night's match at Paul Taylor Field House between St. Mary's and UAFS ended with the Lions defeating the Rattlers in four sets.
 
The loss snaps a six-match home winning streak for the Rattlers who entered the day one game back of the Lions for the top spot in the Heartland Conference.
 
Leading the Rattlers was Tarine Grace who posted a team-high 14 kills on a .345 hitting percentage as Channing Hankins added 13 kills of her own.
 
Bree Perry added to her assist totals with 40 while Monica Ramon played a solid match, recording 18 digs.

St. Mary's will look to bounce back against Newman as it looks to secure a spot in the Heartland Conference Tournament.
