Men’s Basketball outlasted by Javelinas

SAN ANTONIO — St. Mary's Men's Basketball dropped its home opener to Texas A&M-Kingsville on Tuesday night, 60-53.
 
Despite a team-high 11 points and eight rebounds from Petar Radojicic and an efficient nine points, three rebounds and two assists from Will Ferguson, the Rattlers could not hold on to the lead late as the Javelinas closed the game out with a 9-2 run.
 
The balanced offensive attack of the Rattlers saw Skyler Brooks post eight points and five rebounds while Freddie Williams racked up six points and six boards.
 
After shooting 50 percent from the field in the opening frame, the Rattlers struggled, going cold from the field in the second half, shooting 32 percent.
 
Following a tough home loss, the Rattlers will look for redemption this weekend as they host the Alamo City Classic, beginning with a meeting against Wisconsin-Parkside at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 17.
