Nail-biter in Stephenville: Rattlers edged out by host Tarleton State

STEPEHNVILLE, Texas — A three-point attempt from Arysia Porter with four seconds left in regulation did not fall as St. Mary's dropped the finale of the Tarleton State Classic to the host TexAnns 59-56 on Saturday.
 
Porter led the Rattlers with 17 points and six rebounds while Soteria Banks broke out with 14 points, six boards and a pair of assists.
 
The only other Rattler to score double figures was Sierra Dixon who poured in 10 points and collected four rebounds.
 
Senior Kealani Marquez contributed well with eight points, five rebounds and two assists.
 
St. Mary's will look to bounce back on Tuesday when it hosts Texas A&M-Kingsville at home at 5:30 p.m.
