Quick-strike Rattlers top Dustdevils

SAN ANTONIO — Nenad Markovic and Pato Botello Faz once again paced the Rattlers to victory, this time against Texas A&M International. The Rattlers defeated the Dustdevils 2-0 Saturday afternoon at Sigma Beta Chi Field.

St. Mary's (7-4-1, HC 5-3-0) struck quickly against the Dustdevils, with Markovic putting the Rattlers on the board with a goal in the third minute of the match. Botello would add to the lead less than two minutes later as he deposited his ninth goal of the season.

Both Markovic and Botello have combined to score all six Rattler goals this week, accounting for three apiece.

Registering the clean sheet was Gerard Roebuck who collected five saves, stopping a penalty kick in the process.

St. Mary's will return to action against Texas-Permian Basin on Thursday in Odessa, Texas.
