Comeback propels Rattlers to postseason berth

SAN ANTONIO — On what was Senior Day at Sigma Beta Chi Field, the St. Mary's managed to clinch its first postseason berth since 2015 as the tandem of Tommy Fogarty-Cameron and Pato Botello Faz helped the Rattlers earn a 2-1, come-from-behind victory over Rogers State.
 
Trailing 1-0 for most of the match, the Rattlers found an equalizer in the 72nd minute courtesy of Cameron who netted his seventh goal of the season.
 
Less than seven minutes later, Botello capitalized off Martin Ibarreche creating a scoring opportunity.
 
The Rattlers improve to 9-6-1 (HC 7-5) on the season, clinching a berth in the Heartland Conference Championships following a loss by Lubbock Christian earlier in the day.
 
Next week, the Rattlers will wrap-up the season, beginning with the home finale against St. Edward's on Thursday at 5 p.m.
