Late goal shocks Rattlers in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY — St. Mary's fell to Oklahoma Christian 2-1 Thursday night in heartbreaking fashion.
 
The match's scoring began with an OC goal in the 27th minute. Less than two minutes later, a free kick from 25 yards out by Roxy Cruz Santory tied the match.
 
Despite outshooting the Eagles 14-7 in the second half, it was the home team that capitalized with the game-winning goal in the 88th minute to stun the Rattlers.
 
Alexia Maldonado registered five shots while Erin Longford posted seven saves in the losing effort.
 
Next for the Rattlers will be a visit to Lubbock Christian as they look to bounce back against the Lady Chaps on Saturday.
