Rattlers downed in Battle of the Saints

AUSTIN, TEXAS — In the latest Battle of the Saints matchup, the St. Mary's Rattlers visited the St. Edward's Hilltoppers Thursday night, falling 76-54.
 
Held to 7-of-20 shooting in the first half, the Rattlers trailed throughout a majority of the game. St. Mary's was led by Yanni Wetzell's 11 points and seven rebounds while Cameron Horning provided a spark off the bench with 10 points and two boards.
 
Will Ferguson added nine points and three rebounds to go along with Freddie Williams' six points and six boards.
 
The loss ends a two-game winning-streak for the Rattlers as they drop to 4-10 and 2-3 in conference.
 
Next, the Rattlers will face Oklahoma Christian on Saturday to conclude a quick two-game road trip.
