Rattlers coast to victory in wire-to-wire fashion over Hillcats

CLAREMORE, Okla. — It was business as usual for St. Mary's when it faced Rogers State on Saturday at the Claremore Expo Center, defeating the Hillcats 71-51.
 
Behind another strong performance from Kiara Etheridge, the Rattlers move to 9-1 in conference play, collecting their sixth straight victory in the process. The win-streak ties the Rattlers' longest of the season as they improve to 17-3 overall.
 
Etheridge continued a streak of her own as she picked up her third straight 20-point double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
 
Arysia Porter produced another quality offensive game as she poured in 19 points, nine rebounds and four steals as Kealani Marquez added seven points and a pair of assists.
 
LaBraile Fields, Tyra Cormier, Tia Mason and Alexia Torres each tallied four points apiece as the Rattlers dominated in the post, outscoring RSU in the paint, 40-28.
 
The Rattlers will travel to Lubbock Christian in a week to face the defending national champions.
