@StMUvolleyball bounces back in victory over Aggies

GOODWELL, Oklahoma — St. Mary's Volleyball returned to the court on Friday night, defeating the Panhandle State Aggies 3-1 at the Oscar Williams Field House.
 
The Rattlers jumped out to an early, taking the first two sets 25-17 and 25-16. After tangling in a marathon third game which saw the Aggies win 29-27, the Rattlers powered through with a convincing 25-11 showing in set 4 to clinch the victory.
 
Freshman Lauren Martinez posted a team-high 12 kills while Bree Perry tallied 38 assists. Maddi King added 17 digs with Shelley Chapron contributing three blocks in the victory.
 
Jaycie Pluenneke, King, Chapron and Martinez each reached double-digits in points as the Rattlers improve to 9-6 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
 
Next Thursday, the Rattlers will host the Newman in the first of a three-match homestand at Bill Greehey Arena.
