By Brian Magloyoan | St. Mary's Athletics Communications

SAN ANTONIO — With less than 10 minutes left and the match tied at 1-1, St. Mary's freshmen Michael Lewis and Alexis Arredondo delivered a game winning goal over Eastern New Mexico Thursday night at Sigma Beta Chi Field.

Lewis' signature throw-in found the head of Arredondo who deposited his first career goal.

Goal scoring began with a penalty kick goal from Dan Johns following a yellow card against the Greyhounds in the 18th minute.

In the 40th minute, ENMU found the equalizer on a penalty kick of their own, setting the stage for a second half where the Rattlers increased the tempo of their offense.

The final half saw the Rattlers outshoot the Greyhounds 8-2 in what was a physical contest that saw six yellow cards and one red card.

Goalkeeper Jack Moore finished with a match-high four saves while Reis Woolley contributed a pair of shots of his own.

Thursday marked the second victory of the season for the Rattlers who snapped a two-match losing streak.

On Saturday, the Rattlers will host Heartland Conference newcomer, West Texas at 1 p.m. at Sigma Beta Chi Field.
